The Louis XV style is rather feminine. The furniture is charming, elegant,
light and incites us to relaxation and the frivolities of the Court. It is also the furnishing
style ordered most by or for women, who under the reign of Louis XV, had an
important place in the Court, and had authority in matters of decoration.
